FAQ
Technical questions
- What grammage and roll widths are available?
- Standard grammages run between 140 and 190 g/m² depending on the liner. Roll widths are produced to your line specification — typical formats range from 1,200 to 2,600 mm. Custom widths and grammages are available against agreed annual volumes.
- Which standards does the paper comply with?
- All WeePaper liners are supplied with documentation aligned with EN 520 (gypsum plasterboards) and ASTM C1396. PEFC and FSC chain-of-custody is standard; Hydro and Antifungic grades carry additional product-specific certifications.
- What MOQ and lead times can we expect?
- Minimum order quantity is typically one truckload for stock grades and one shift's production for custom specifications. Standard lead time is 4–6 weeks from PO; spot allocations are possible subject to mill availability.
- Can you supply samples for line trials?
- Yes. We provide small format A4 samples for visual evaluation and machine-trial reels (typically 200–500 kg per spec) for runnability validation on your forming line.
- How is consistency between batches guaranteed?
- Every reel ships with a QC certificate covering grammage, moisture, tensile MD/CD, porosity and brightness. We hold ISO 9001 across the supply chain and conduct counter-sampling on each shipment.
- How does the liner behave on high-speed forming lines?
- Our liners are specified for stable runnability at typical board-line speeds of 80–120 m/min. Tensile MD of 5.5–7.0 kN/m and controlled porosity (20–40 s Gurley) keep web tension stable through the forming, scoring and knife stations, minimising web breaks and edge tear.
- What fibre composition is used and how does it affect Cobb 60?
- Standard Face and Back liners are 100% recycled fibre, internally sized to deliver Cobb 60 values in the 28–35 g/m² range. Hydro grades use a reinforced sizing chemistry to bring Cobb 60 below 25 g/m² for moisture-resistant board production.
- Can trim and broke be recycled back into the wet end?
- Yes. WeePaper liners are designed to repulp cleanly in standard hydrapulpers without adhesive contamination, so plant trim and broke can be reintroduced into the wet end of the board line or routed back to a recycled paper mill.
