| Grade | Finish | Typical grammage | Best for | Key property |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Sack kraft (standard) | Matte, unglazed | 70–100 g/m² | Open-mouth & valve sacks | High TEA, controlled porosity |
| Extensible sack kraft | Matte, creped | 70–100 g/m² | Cement, grain, chemicals | 4–7% stretch, shock absorption |
| MG kraft | One-side glazed | 60–100 g/m² | Printed shopping & SOS bags | Gloss face, high print fidelity |
| MF kraft | Matte both sides | 80–140 g/m² | E-commerce mailers, liners | Bulk and stiffness |
| MB kraft | Semi-smooth | 70–120 g/m² | Square-bottom bag lines | Runnability over print gloss |
Converter questions
What is sack kraft paper?
A high-strength packaging paper, typically 70–140 g/m², engineered for converting into industrial sacks and bags: high tensile energy absorption (TEA), controlled porosity for fast air release during filling, and — in extensible grades — 4–7% stretch that absorbs shock during drop and handling.
What is the difference between MG, MF and MB kraft paper?
MG (machine glazed) has one high-gloss side from a Yankee cylinder, giving the best print face. MF (machine finished) is matte on both sides with higher bulk and stiffness. MB (machine bright) sits between them, used where runnability matters more than print gloss.
What grammage is used for shopping bags?
Square-bottom and SOS shopping bags typically run 70–100 g/m²; e-commerce mailers 80–120 g/m²; open-mouth and valve sacks use 70–100 g/m² extensible kraft in two or three plies rather than one heavy sheet.
What is the minimum order quantity?
20 tonnes per grade and grammage, 4–6 week lead times from European mills, delivered plant-to-plant with chain-of-custody documentation on every shipment.
