Request a quoteMG kraft is dried against a polished Yankee cylinder, giving one glazed side and one matt side. The glazed side takes flexo print with far better dot definition than an MF sheet, which is why printed shopping bags, bakery bags and branded wrapping are almost always MG.
The matt side keeps its fibre structure, so the sheet still glues and laminates well. Grammages below 50 g/m² are typically used as a laminating or interleaving ply rather than a standalone bag.

MG or MF kraft for printed bags?
MG. The glazed Yankee-dried side holds flexo dots far better than the two-sided matt finish of an MF sheet, so solids look denser and fine text stays legible. MF is the cheaper option where print quality is secondary.
Is MG kraft food-safe?
The grades we supply can be delivered with ISEGA food-contact certification, which covers direct contact with dry and fatty foods depending on the specification. Confirm the intended food type in the enquiry so the right certificate is issued.
